We would like to share with you some changes in gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permits in Uganda. These changes will be effective from 1st July 2024. Bookings done up to 30th June 2024 will be at the old prices.
Gorilla Trekking done in Mgahinga gorilla national park and Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. Chimpanzee trekking is in Kibale national park and Kyambura gorge in Queen Elizabeth National park.
Gorilla Trekking permit fees for Non Resident Visitors increased from $700 to $800.
Chimpanzee trekking permit fees in Kibale National park increased from $200 to $250
Chimpanzee habituation permit fees from $250 to $300 also arranged by Uganda wildlife authority in Kibale national park only.
Chimpanzee trekking permit fees in Kyambura gorge increased from $50 to $100
Note: All bookings done from today up to 30th June 2024 will be at the old tariffs which is cheaper.
All previously purchased permits will be honored at old prices and new bookings are at old prices up to 1st July when the new prices will take effect.
