6 Days Queen Elizabeth and Source of River Nile
This trip takes you to the medley of wonders and to the source of River Nile. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. These game drives and the boat trip are a memorable method of discovering a vast array of wildlife.
You will enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. The park has a variety of animals such as zebras, impala, buffaloes, hippos and crocodiles, and for the birding enthusiasts, there are over three hundred (300) bird species. Bird species like the African mourning dove, swamp flycatcher, grey-headed kingfisher, African skimmer, malachite and pied kingfishers, white-winged terns, grey-capped warbler, collared pratincole, pin-tailed whydah, martial eagle, Gabon and slender-tailed nightjars, black-headed gonolek, Verreaux’s eagle-owl, among others are a must watch. It has advantage of animals and birds which live in both parks and water.
Possible itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer from Entebbe airport
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by Alps Trendy Safaris representative who will brief you on the 4 day trip to Queen Elizabeth national park. He will then transfer you to Acactus Hotel or Alfa Hotel Munyonyo Kampala for your dinner and overnight. You will take a rest and get ready for the morning trip to queen Elizabeth National Park. The start of Queen Elizabeth and Source of River Nile Safari.

Day 2: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth national park.
After Breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a stopover at the equator which is a
platform for photography for memories and then proceed. Note that you will have lunch along the way. You will have a game drive en route to view lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species. In the evening, go for a study of local salt mining by the Local communities around Lake Katwe, where salt is mined. This lake is the major source of salt for the country. Check in at Engiri game lodge where you will stay for two nights.

Day 3: Full day at Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, get ready for a game drive in the park. You will expect to see famous animals of the park here like elephants and kobs. Expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George. This trip passes through the highest concentration of hippos. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous among others. Dinner and overnight at outstanding accommodation facilities of Engiri Game lodge.

Day4 Queen Elizabeth Park to Jinja Source of River Nile.
As we reach the end of the tour, you will have breakfast and then checkout of your hotel and depart for Jinja source of River Nile. On your way, you will get chance to trek through Mabira forest, Uganda’s largest natural forest home to a variety of primates, birds , plant sand tree species. You start your adventure with Sezibwa falls, a cultural fall traditionally believed to have been born from a human being, enjoy the views as you relax and take pictures. Continue with the road trip passing through Lugazi town, home of the Kakira Sugar Factory. The glittering bridge at the Owen falls dam, welcomes you to this popular adventure town. Stop over at a restaurant for lunch; thereafter drive to the Nile premises for an evening boat ride to the source of the Nile. Proceed to your hotel/ lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Adventure Sports and local community interactions
Wake up to a lovely African breakfast and get ready for today’s adventurous activities. There is so much to do while in Jinja, for those that love the adrenaline pumping white water rafting, get ready for a morning rafting adventure down the Nile as a group. Cycling adventure and a lot more, you traveling as family there are so many activities that can keep you occupied up to almost the whole day. All you need to pick out what activity suits your budget and personal needs and let us book it for you. After your day’s adventure, get ready to drive back to Kampala or to the airport for your flight to the next destination.

Day6: Visit to Entebbe Wild Life study center and transfer airport
You will have morning breakfast and then get on the road to the airport. While on the wy, you will have a stopover at Entebbe Wildlife study center where you will have a visit to most of the wild animals we have in Uganda. This place is good for family trip as your people enjoy watching and interacting with Chimpanzees, Lions, Rhinos and other animals.
