Known as the Primate capital of the world, Kibale national park is located in Western Uganda, protecting moist ever green rain forest. The park is famously known for its largest population of chimpanzees and it’s considered the best place to track chimpanzees in the world. The park harbors over 350 plant species, 71 mammal species 13 primates and 372 bird species. Kibale forest has one of the highest diversity and concentration of primates in Africa and the whole world. The park is a home of primates such as the black and white colobus, red tailed monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey and others.
