10-MOUNT ELGON NATIONAL PARK
Mountt Elgon national park is located on the Uganda- Kenya border, about 225km from Kampala and about 7hrs drive. Attractions here are; Mt Elgon itself, Sipi falls one of the best waterfall in Africa, mammals and then the two tribes of Sabin and Bagishu. Activities carried out here include; Mt Elgon hiking, Sipi falls hike, Visiting coffee plantations, Cultural experiences, and bird watching and then visiting the caves.

9-LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Lake Mburo national park is located in the South Western part of the country in Mbarara district. This is the closest national park to Kampala for it takes less than 4hrs depending on the stop overs that you make on the way. The park has attractions such as; Wild animals like leopards, Impalas, Zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, hyenas, hippos, waterbucks and others and this makes it one of the most interesting places to visit in Uganda and Africa. Activities carried out on this park include; Game drives (Day and Night), Boat riding on Lake Mburo, Horseback riding, Game viewing, Bush walks and then Bird watching. This park has the largest population of zebras in Uganda.

8-MOUNT RWENZORI NATIONAL PARK
Mount Rwenzori national park; As one of the best places to visit in the alps of Uganda, it is located in the Western Uganda on the Uganda Congo border, at a distance of 398kms from Kampala. The park is a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO because of its unique significance. It has the third highest peak in Africa called Margarita peak. The attractions at this park include; Mt Rwenzori, some Mammals and several bird species. Activities include; Mountain climbing, Nature walks, Village visits, Bird watching and then cultural experiences.

7-MGAHINGA GORILLA NATIONAL PARK
Mgahinga gorilla national park is located in the South Western part of Uganda at the Uganda- Rwanda- Congo border. The park is a home to the rare mountain gorillas thus among the top 10 destinations we have. In the world, we have 1044 mountain gorillas and over half of these gorillas live in Uganda. The remaining population of the gorillas is found in Congo and then Rwanda. Apart from these rare mountain gorillas, the park has other attractions such as the Golden monkeys, the three volcanoes of Sabinyo, Muhabura and Gahinga, Bird species and then the Batwa culture. Activities are; Gorilla trekking, Golden monkey trekking, Hiking the Volcano, Bird watching and then Batwa cultural experience. If you are interested in Gorilla trekking from a calm and less crowded national park, Mgahinga national park is your best choice.

6-SEMULIKI NATIONAL PARK
Semuliki national park is located in the Western Uganda- Bundibujo area, at a distance of 387kms from Kampala. The park is the best destination in Uganda for the birders for it has very many bird species. Other attractions on this park include; The two Sempaya Hot springs (the male and female hot springs) gashing out hot waters hot enough to boil an egg, Semuliki river, falls, Lake Albert, Chimpanzees and then the Batwa pigmies. The activities you should look forward to participate in at this park include; Chimpanzee walk, Bird watching, Hot springs visit, Boat riding on Lake Albert, Visiting River Semuliki and then Cultural experiences.
